On the Twofold Differential Action of Gravitational Time Dilation upon Quantum-Coherent and -Decoherent Brain Processes

This perspective explores a speculative but physically motivated question: do quantum-coherent and quantum-decoherent processes in biological systems experience gravitationaltime dilation differently? Drawing on Roger Penrose’s one-graviton decoherence threshold,I examine the possibility of a differential gravitational coupling—a subtle, second-ordercorrection to the Einstein Equivalence Principle—that could affect the relative timing between coherent evolution and decoherence in neural networks. If such a differential coupling exists, it could have implications for any consciousness model that relies on quantum coher-ence in microtubules or other cytoskeletal structures, and might even emerge as a confound-ing factor for the psychological health of astronauts during prolonged deep-space missions. This is presented as a conjecture requiring formal development; the minimal theoreticalrequirements for turning it into a testable hypothesis are outlined
